Summer Graduation

Community Link, the non-profit organization that enables working homeless individuals and families in the Carolinas to obtain and sustain safe, decent and affordable housing is pleased to announce that thirteen customers have successfully completed their Casework, Supportive Housing and or Homeownership Education and Counseling Program.
The ceremony was held on Thursday, September 15, 2005 at the Children and Family Services Center on East 5th Street in Charlotte. This customized educational training program, which can take up to two years to complete, enables graduates to live independently and self-sufficiently. Many of these graduates will no longer require public assistance or have to depend on the use of public shelters for temporary housing. In some cases graduation means families being reunited with their children who were formerly residing in foster homes. Sponsors of this graduation event included: Wells Fargo Financial Acceptance, SC, Wal-Mart Super Center – Store #1464 Reflecting Dreams, LLC, Elite Design Group, LLC and Costco.
