Audit |
Assists the Board in fulfilling audit oversight by reviewing audited financial information for reporting; internal controls; and the audit process itself. Helps to provide open communication between the Board of Directors, staff, and the independent auditors. Meeting times: periodic. |
| Event | Come for the party! Even more-so, help plan it. In this newly created role, you’ll help design, plan, and implement our next fundraising event – with all dollars raised going to Community Link. The fun may include theme, décor, sponsor solicitation, generating awareness, and logistical management. Meeting times: monthly + additional as needed. |
Finance |
Assists the board in fulfilling its overall organizational financial oversight. Meeting times: monthly. |
Human Resources |
Provides counsel and support to the Board Chair and CEO to ensure equitable advocacy for Community Link employees; offers advice, support, and review for the development, implementation, and interpretation of HR policies and practices consistent with governing employment law and leading edge protocols; and to aid the organization with all matters related to personnel management. Meeting times: periodic. |
Marketing/Development |
Provides marketing guidance, assistance and services to the agency and advises the Board on all issues related to the Community Link “brand” and its identity. Assists the Board in developing and implementing fundraising opportunities to support and strengthen Community Link. Meeting times: monthly. |
Nominating |
Researches, identifies and recommends prospective Board and/or any Board Officer candidates to fill any vacancies. Assists with orientation and ongoing education of the Board of Directors. Meeting times: periodic. |
| Strategic Planning | Assists the Board Chair and CEO in long-range planning, and recommends changes to and implementation of organizational goals and objectives. Monitors the effectiveness of agency programs. Meeting times: quarterly. |
